Can I use my Dundee Library card at the Randall Oaks Branch?
Yes. They are interchangeable with all the same policies and privileges.
Can I return materials that I checked out at the Dundee Library to the Randall Oaks Branch?
Yes. Items borrowed from either location can be returned to either location.
Is the library branch open the same hours as the recreation center or the same as the Dundee Library?
Neither. The Randall Oaks Branch Library hours are:
Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Can I pick up my holds at the Randall Oaks Branch?
Yes. When you place a hold via our online catalog, a "Select a Pickup Location” drop down menu will appear. Click on "FRVPLD-Dundee” to pick up your hold at the Dundee Library, or click on "FRVPLD-Randall Oaks” to pick up at the branch. If you are placing a hold at the library or over the phone, simply tell a staff member where you would like to pick it up.
Is there wireless Internet access available at the Randall Oaks Branch?
Yes. Both the Park District and the Library offer free wireless Internet, so you can stay connected wherever you are in the building. No password is required.
Are there large-print books at the Randall Oaks Branch? Yes.
Are there any storytimes or programs scheduled at the Randall Oaks Branch?
What collections are available at the Randall Oaks branch?
Is there another large delivery of books coming?
No but we are steadily getting new items added to our collections. Let us know if you don’t find what you are looking for. Your feedback will help us grow the collection to meet the needs of the community.
Is public computer equipment available at the Randall Oaks Branch?
Yes. We offer the following computer equipment:
- Five Public Internet stations for adults with Microsoft Office and Open Office.
- A copier with scanning capabilities that doubles as a printer for the adult computers. (Color copies are .50 cents a page; black and white copies are .20 cents per page.) Scanning to USBs or email is free.
- Ear buds ($1.50) and flash drives ($8.50) are available for purchase.
There is no fax or wireless print capability at the branch at this time.
Two computers for children loaded with age appropriate games and a child-safe Internet browser.
