Microform Collection

The microform collection is made up of two different formats: microfilm (a roll of film) and microfiche (flat sheets of film). Both formats contain images of full issues of magazines and newspapers. The periodicals that we have on microfilm are: Life, Newsweek, Newsletter on Intellectual Freedom, Psychology Today, Saturday Review, Saturday Evening Post, Science, Time, Science News Letter, Science News, U.S. News & World Report, Cardunal Free Press, Tri-Cities Tribune/Dundee Review, Dundee Hawkeye, Barrington Press/Fox Valley Countryside, Carpentersville Countryside, Dundee Countryside, Valley Reporter, Current History, and Northwest Herald. We also have reports from the U.S. Census and Archives Census on microfilm. In the microfiche format, we have Family Handyman and Family Relations.
