Shelter in place crafts with Creativebug

Sean's picture

As we shelter in place, we all might be going a little stir crazy trying to find things to do. One of the online resources that we have available is Creativebug, which has free videos showing you how to do a variety of arts and crafts type projects. On May 1, Creativebug added a new video called "Daily Creativity at Home." It is a video series with a variety of projects that use materials commonly found at home.

Holiday Cheer with Creativebug

The holiday season is upon us, and that means decorating, shopping for presents, planning holiday gatherings, and more. It can be a stressful time, but the library has resources that can help make your holiday shopping and planning easier! A few years ago, I talked about Consumer Reports online and all it has to offer to help with holiday shopping. This year, I want to talk about one of our newer eResources, Creativebug.

A variety of fun, interactive lessons are available that teach students how to code video filters, video games, special effects, celebrity name generators, haunted houses, simulations and more! Vidcode is free to use and can be used in the library or at home.

Changes to Lynda.com

Sean's picture
Due to unforseen complications on their end, LinkedIn has put a hold on changing Lynda.com to LinkedIn Learning. LinkedIn has not yet determined how long this pause will last. Lynda.com will continue to function as usual, so you may still access that content while we wait for our new transition date. We apologize for any confusion and inconvenience. We are doing everything we can on our end to work with LinkedIn to make this transition as seamless as possible. As soon as we have more information, we will update this blog.

Last month, we added a new automobile repair database to replace AllData. The new database is called Auto Repair Source (formerly known as AutoMate) and, unlike AllData, it can be used remotely from home! Powered by MOTOR Information Systems, Auto Repair Source provides the most accurate, authoritative and up-to-date service and repair information for thousands of domestic and imported vehicles.
