Changing Seasons

I, like many of you I'm sure, have been eagerly awaiting cooler weather; fall weather.  Apple picking, cookie baking, leaf raking, see your breath in the air weather.  Hot cider, sweaters and soup!  I want to step outside and NOT immediately start sweating.  So although the fall equinox came and went...late September and early October were still too hot for my taste.  It seems to have finally passed.  I love crisp, fall days  when I can crank up the oven, get some dough rising while I prep soup.  Once  the bread is baking, I can mix up cookies to pop into the hot oven when the bread comes out.  A toasty and yummy 3 course meal: bread, soup and cookies!
