How do I search for physical materials?

To search for all physical materials for all ages, including all books, audiobooks, large print, CDs, DVDs, video games, newspapers, magazines, board games, and more, use the online catalog and contact us for assistance or select the Help option on any page of the online catalog.

This online catalog includes materials at both FRVL locations as well as from some additional area libraries.

You can choose to search either FRVL location, both FRVL locations, or both FRVL and those area libraries.

When you find materials you wish to borrow, you can place a hold for pickup at any Library location listed, or go to the physical location where they are to check out using your FRVL card (the additional libraries may have restrictions on non-resident borrowing; we strongly recommend contacting any library to ensure availability before making a trip).

If your catalog search doesn't get any results at FRVL or the additional libraries, there are other options: interlibrary loan and suggesting a purchase.

Interlibrary loan lets us request materials on your behalf from libraries that don't share our catalog. Try searching WorldCat to see if any American libraries have the material you're looking for, or contact us for assistance.
