    Meetings are normally held in the Dundee Library's Meeting Room (Lower Level) on the third Tuesday of the month, starting at 7 p.m. Dates other than the third Tuesday are noted with an asterisk (*).The public is invited to attend or welcome to contact the board for further information.

    OPPORTUNITY TO BECOME A LIBRARY TRUSTEE

    There is a vacancy on Fox River Valley Public Library District’s Board of Trustees effective May 16, 2023.  This position will be filled by way of nomination of a candidate by the Board President, subject to approval of the full Board.  The successful candidate must reside within the Library District for a minimum of one year and be willing to finish out the current term of office ending in May, 2027.  This includes filing nomination papers for the next regular election in April, 2025.  To apply, please submit a letter of interest and resume via email to Executive Director Amy Dodson at adodson@frvpld.info no later than June 13, 2023. 

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Prepare for and attend monthly board meetings and ensure that accurate records are maintained.
    • Review and approve annual budgets, appropriations, and tax levy.
    • Provide the greatest benefit possible to the greatest number of library district residents
    • Conduct long range planning for library services in the context of established standards of service.
    • Oversee maintenance of library facilities and plan for replacement or expansion as needed.
    • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws pertaining to library districts and their officials.
