Library of Things

As a steward of learning and discovery, libraries have branched out into offering more than books. FRVPLD has items for check out that help you explore a new skill, have some fun, or simply try something before you buy it. Here is a list of our current inventory. Keep checking for more items as we grow the collection. 3 week loan period except where noted, no renewals. Limited to FRVPLD patrons only. All items must be returned inside the Dundee or Randall Oaks libraries.

  • American Girl Dolls

    A variety of American Girl dolls are available. Each comes with a book, accessories, and case.


  • Book Club in a Bag

    Book Bag

    A "do-it-yourself" kit for hosting your own book discussion including multiple copies and discussion guide. Adult and Youth kits are available. 6 week loan period.

    Three different kits to share and interact with those experiencing memory loss or dementia (also fun with grandchildren!): Memory Care, Puzzles, and Aquapaints.









     

  • Craft Kits

    Portable device that connects your mobile device to the Internet so you can connect wherever you go like home, the bus, or the park.  Check-out period 1 Semester. A valid student ID is required at checkout.



     

  • Student Laptop & Hotspot

    Combo pack includes laptop, case, mouse, charger, and Wi-Fi hotspot. A valid student ID is required at checkout, and pack checks out for a semester.
