Take on our "Reading Reflections" Winter Reading Challenge

The end of the year marks a wonderful time to reflect on all that you’ve experienced and learned over the past 12 months. Whether you’re celebrating the holidays with friends and family or enjoying some quiet time alone, take a moment to cozy up with a good book or a fun activity and set an intention for the coming year. Our Winter Reading Challenge will run from December 15 through January 15.

Sign up and participate online at or download the Beanstack app on your device. You can also sign up in person and pick up a printed log at the library.

To complete the challenge, earn the five activity badges in your age category: Pre-Readers, Youth, and Teen & Adult. Upon registration, you will receive a sign up prize to get you started! Then you must complete just one of the suggested activities to earn each badge. When you've earned all five badges, come on back and pick up your finisher prize. Here's the details on the goodies:

Adults & Teens -- Book (Your choice of Crazy Brave by Joy Harjo or When the Light of the World Was Subdued, Our Songs Came Through: A Norton Anthology of Native Nations Poetry.
