The library district is unable to meet the growing demand for library materials, programs, services, and facilities. It has been 40 years since the construction of the Dundee Library. In the last 20 years, the population of our service area has doubled. Library facilities have not kept pace. The library district is simply out of room to address not only current needs, but those of the future. Proceeds of a voter-approved referendum would be used for improvements to the existing Dundee Library, construction of a new, full-service library near Randall Road, and maintenance and operation of both libraries.
