Computers & Printing

Computer Instructor

Windows PCs are available for use at the Dundee Library on the main level and in the Youth Services Department on the lower level, as well as at the Randall Oaks Library. iMacs are also available at the Dundee Library and the Randall Oaks Library.

Computer sessions are 60 minutes with unlimited sessions per day unless others are waiting. Sign on to any computer with your valid FRVPLD library card or other valid library card that is registered at the library. You may also present a valid government-issued ID at a service desk to get access to a computer.

Files saved to the computer's hard drive are deleted after each session.  Plan to use a USB flash drive to save your files (available for purchase at the library).

All public computers offer:

  • Internet access
  • Microsoft Office
  • Access to printers via the Library Convenience Centers

Computers on the lower level also have games for children.

You can print documents from the public computers. Your first 20 black and white pages are free.

After that, printing costs are as follows:

  • Color: 50 cents per page
  • Black & White: 20 cents per page

If you need to copy or print more than 100 pages, please see the staff for options.

You can also print remotely using our Wireless Printing Service. FRVPLD cardholders login using their library card number. If you are not a member, you can use the Guest button. Same printing charges as above apply. Once you send in your job using the link, come to the print kiosk at the Dundee or Randall Oaks Library to print out and pick up your document.

Free wireless Internet is available at both locations. For the convenience of the community, the Wi-Fi signal reaches throughout the parking lot of the Dundee Library.

For best results, save to a USB flash drive (available for purchase at both locations). Files saved to the hard drive are deleted after each session.

Fax service is available at the Dundee Library. The service is free and is limited to 21 single sided pages. No international faxes are allowed. The fax machine is located in the adult computer area.

Library Convenience Centers are located at both the Dundee Library (upstairs and downstairs) and the Randall Oaks Library.  The touch screen guides you through the process.  At the Library Convenience Center you can:

  • Scan to USB
  • Scan to Email
  • Scan in multiple formats

Scanning is free. Copies are 20 cents per page for black and white (first 20 B&W pages are free) and 50 cents per page for color.
