Educator Collaboration Services

All K-12 educators at schools within the Fox River Valley Public Library District are eligible for an Educator Card. This card allows educators from public and private K-12 schools to check out physical materials and use online resources in the classroom. Pre-schools within district boundaries are eligible for a business card.

Classroom Materials Request: 

We can supply extra materials for research projects or themed units. Please send your requests to: librarykids@frvpld.info    

 

Educator Cards:

All K–12 educators who work within the Fox River Valley Public Library District are eligible for an Educator Library Card. This card allows public and private school educators to check out physical materials and access online resources for classroom use. Preschools located within district boundaries are eligible for a Business Library Card.

 

Getting an Educator Card:

  • Visit any Fox River Valley Public Library District service desk.

  • Bring a photo ID (such as a driver’s license) and proof of employment at a school within our district boundaries. Acceptable proof of employment includes: paystub, school ID, class roster.

  • Cards will expire every year.

     

Use of Electronic Resources:

  • Educators have access to use of electronic resources.

  • Please do not share educator card numbers with students.

  • If you wish to use FRVPLD’s electronic resources in your classroom, library staff are happy to visit and provide instruction.

 

Online Resources: 

Educators have access to a wide range of online resources to support teaching and learning, including eBooks and eAudiobooks for classroom and professional use, Brainfuse homework help for student support, LinkedIn Learning for professional development, and World Book. Also included is World Book’s Banco de Contenidos aulaPlaneta, a robust Spanish-language database designed to support native Spanish speakers, bilingual learners, and ESL/ELL instruction.

 

Educator Responsibility:

  • Educators are responsible for all materials checked out on their card. Materials that are not returned will be billed for the full replacement cost.
