Welcome Little One Baby Fest!

It’s never too early to start reading to your child! New and expecting parents are invited to attend this special event where you will learn about the importance of early literacy and what you can do to make it a priority in your family.

At this free event we’ll have:

• A “storytime” to show you how to read to your little one with early literacy tips and ideas from one of our very own FRVPLD youth services experts.
• Welcome Little One tote bags for those who attend with bilingual board book, reading recommendations and early literacy information, and a storytime kit with scarf and egg shaker to get you started. (While supplies last.) Be sure to bring your ID with current address so you can get a library card for your little one while you’re here.
• A safety presentation on baby CPR and car seat installation from the East Dundee Fire Department
• Representatives from Advocate Sherman Childbirth Education available for questions
• A free photo from a photographer
• Raffle prizes

Nunca es demasiado temprano para empezar a leerle a nuestros hijos. Los padres, esperantes o nuevos, están invitados a un evento en la biblioteca de Dundee centrado en la importancia del analfabetismo infantil y técnicas para incorporarlo en su familia.

En este evento tendremos:

• Un tiempo de cuentos para demostrar como uno le puede leer a su bebe con consejos e ideas de nuestros expertos de servicios infantiles de la biblioteca.

• Una presentación de primeros auxilios infantiles, y instalación del asiento de seguridad presentado por la estación de bomberos de East Dundee.

• Una foto gratuita de su bebe de un fotógrafo

• Y una rifa

Los que atienden el evento recibirán una bolsa de Welcome Little Ones con un libro bilingüe, recomendaciones e información sobre el analfabetismo infantil, y un kit de cuentos que incluye un pañuelo, y una coctelera de huevo.
