This collection is a sample of some pages from a book about the history of the family of John and Janet Hamilton Crichton. They came to Dundee, IL in the 1830s and 1840s from Scotland and were some of the earliest settlers of the Dundee area. The content in this book was originally written by one family member, then later copied and mimeographed into book form by a descendant, Fred R. Crichton, in 1966.
