Dundee Library Closed March 25, 26, and 27 Due to Scheduled Electrical Upgrades

Due to scheduled electrical updates to the library’s power grid, the Dundee Library will be closed March 25–27. We will reopen and resume regular business hours on March 28. Our West Dundee branch at Randall Oaks will remain open during this time. Thank you for your patience as we complete these important improvements.

Online Catalog Update Notice

The library’s online catalog will be undergoing a scheduled update and will be unavailable starting at 10 p.m. on March 23 through March 24. We appreciate your patience as we work to improve your experience.

Fall is in full swing! 

We’ve raked the leaves, turned back the clocks, and donned our favorite cardigan. Now join us in putting that extra hour to good use with the coziest reading challenge of the year! During the month of November, read your way to that quintessential autumn feeling with our Fall Into Reading Challenge.  

Continue reading to learn more about our Fall Into Reading Challenge and use the provided links to register or peruse our librarian recommended book lists. We can’t wait to see how you embrace reading this season!

Register

Starting November 1st , register for our Fall Into Reading Challenge in-person, online through the Beanstack website, or using the Beanstack app on any smart device. Registrants 12 and up will earn an adorable sign-up prize inspired by the challenge badges. All prizes can be claimed at the Randall Oaks Library or Dundee Library location.

Read

Read one book from any of the following categories to complete the challenge: Comfort Food, Fall Vibes, or Cozy Reads. Choose a title from our book lists or discover your own. While we have compiled a teen and an adult list for each category, anyone is welcome to read from either.  

Once you’ve finished reading your book, simply enter the title into Beanstack under the relevant activity badge and you’re a winner!

 

Comfort Food

To earn this badge, read a book that features chefs, cooking, or food. Pick a book from the lists linked below or select a title of your own choosing.

Fall Vibes

To earn this badge, read a book that embodies what Autumn is to you. Books in this category can feature themes of sweater weather, pumpkins, the witchy or magical, autumn romances & more. Pick a book from the lists linked below or select a title of your own choosing.

Cozy Reads

To earn this badge, read a lighthearted book that makes you feel warm and toasty inside. Discover a new favorite comfort read or revisit an old one. Pick a book from the lists linked below or select a title of your own choosing.

  • Adult List- A printable list of librarian recommended Adult titles you can snuggle up with!

Upon completion of the Fall Into Reading Challenge, participants will earn their choice of a brand-new book from our prize cart. This finisher prize can be claimed at either Fox River Valley Library location as early as November 8th .
