The Fox River Valley Public Library District’s Public Relations team has been recognized with a 2025 Blue Pencil and Gold Screen Award from the National Association of Government Communicators (NAGC) in the category of Crisis Communication Plan.

In our adult collection, we break our fiction out into a few different genres: general fiction, science-fiction & fantasy, romance, and mystery. Let's take a look at the titles with the most checkouts in each genre that were released this year.

Professional wrestling in 2024 was nothing short of extraordinary, with unforgettable matches, groundbreaking storylines, and seismic shifts in the industry. From historic title reigns to noteworthy retirements, the year showcased the best of what wrestling has to offer.

Every year, I look forward to seeing which new authors are going to find success. There are plenty of established authors I love and will always read, but discovering a novel by someone who is brand new feels magical.
